Athiesm is Our Fault

I’ve been pondering a lot lately on the hearts and lives of those that don’t call Jesus Christ the Truth. And 99% of the time, it makes sense that they don’t call Him that, and I believe it makes sense to God as well.

They have only ever heard of Him.

They have yet to encounter Him.

I wouldn’t be a laid down lover of Jesus today if it weren’t for the people that God placed in my life at such a young age that ushered me into His presence, where I met Him in those moments, and have never been the same since. I have experienced Him for myself in such a way that no one can ever talk me out of believing and living for Him and Him alone.

Yes, it is Holy Spirit that calls man unto Himself, but it is our blessed and beautiful opportunity and ministry to bring people into encounters with GOD!

Let’s stop talking about the how many people have left the church or how many have never even stepped foot inside the church. Our mission isn’t to populate a building, our mission is to display the raw and indisputable love and power of God and then let them choose for themselves who they will live for.

Bill Johnson writes in the first chapter of his book When Heaven Invades Earth:

“For the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”        1 Cor. 4:20 NKJV

It is abnormal for a Christian not to have an appetite for the impossible.  It has been written into our spiritual DNA to hunger for the impossibilities around us to bow at the name of Jesus.

The lack of miracles isn’t because it is not in God’s will for us.  The problem exists between our ears.  As a result, a transformation, a renewing of the mind, is needed, and it’s only possible through a work of the Holy Spirit that typically comes upon desperate people.

Stories of the impossible are becoming the norm, and the company of people who have joined this quest for an authentic gospel, the gospel of the Kingdom, is increasing.  Loving God and His people is an honor.  We will no longer make up excuses for powerlessness because powerlessness is inexcusable.  Our mandate is simple: raise up a generation that can openly display the raw power of God.

We owe the world an encounter

We owe the world an encounter.
